Established in 2007 and currently employing 55 full-time staff, DARKON is dedicated to the local design and fabrication of a comprehensive range of proprietary extruded aluminium profiles, architectural downlights, as well as a complete decorative lighting catalogue designed by Director, Dean Phillips.
DARKON is also partnered with global, external lighting market leaders, LUMASCAPE, as Australian distributors for their innovative suite of exterior architectural luminaires, as well as supporting control system design and distributing locally manufactured lighting control componentry for CREATIVE LIGHTING AUSTRALIA.
Established relationships for external lighting and lighting control product distribution, a supply partnership with LED light engine and driver manufacturers, TRIDONIC, aligned with core competencies in product design and manufacture provide DARKON with the ability to deliver complete end-to-end, turnkey solutions, for all scopes of project work, backed by the highest level of product warranty and compliance in the industry.

DARKON is heavily Research & Development resourced, delivering customised solutions for diverse project requirements with short lead times. The product design process is driven by a ‘universal design’ philosophy which accommodates the ability to interchange mounting applications across product families and facilitate backwards integration of generational upgrades in electrical technology. Acquisition of an ‘Everfine’ goniophotometer in 2015 accommodates industry demand for current absolute photometry data files.
